Tyler might as well have been one of the best bartenders I’ve ever experienced^^ He was the biggest sweetheart and gave wonderful recommendations with this being my first time at a tiki bar! Not only that but the drinks were phenomenal, the honeybee was great and the kiss and tell was amazing, dedication coming back next time I visit :)))

Omg!!! Such a fun time at this ICONIC Tiki bar!! The most historic one in all of FLORIDA!! Tyler!!! took care of us with the BEST drinks!!! Brian is amazing with fossils!!! I know that sounds crazy, but he actually will give you a fossil that you can take home and cherish for the rest of your life. It is truly special!! We were visiting from up north and met the most fun people in this bar and absolutely cannot wait to return!!! It’s a charming place in the atmosphere is over the top!!!

Fun Tiki bar with a Very strong signature drink (the Mai Tai— it was too strong for my tastes) and a delicious (if much weaker) piña colada. We were just in town for a week so I can’t vouch for the other drinks but in general it seems like they pride themselves on strong quality cocktails. The bartenders were both great and the vibe was perfect for getting together and yapping.

The 1944 Mai Tai and Old Fashioned were excellent. The Mai Tai ranks in the top 10 of the 35 Tiki Bars I’ve visited. Tyler the Cocktailian delivered the goods! The 1944 was on point with the Trader Vic’s recipe. The rum Old Fashioned was smooth and well balanced. For the second round, I had the Sneaky Tiki which mellowed me out and sent me back to our Golden Host room next door. I would highly recommend this bar and the motel next door. Okole Maluna!

We came for the history and stayed for the delicious cocktails. Who could pass up Florida’s oldest tiki bar?(opened in 1954) Paul is an excellent bartender, nice personality, our drinks were ambrosial (a testament to the tiki gods that adorn this place). We tried to stick with the classic cocktails; 1944 Mai Tai, Cobra’s Fang and Old Fashioned. All cocktails were well executed. The drink menu goes through changes, this latest iteration appears to be skewed more to modern tastes vs classic tiki, so offerings are limited in that regard. No matter, the cocktails are powerful here, unlike other tiki bars which will remain unmentioned. I liked the video screen with aquatic creatures, which also displays some menu offerings that may be ordered at the lobby. You may also find some tiki souvenirs there as well. Paul explained a bit about the architecture, the original wood panels on the walls and original overhead lamps. Some of the original artwork is interesting as well. This is a must stop for fans of tiki looking for nostalgia or someone looking for a midday stop looking to improve their day. 🗿
